Accessibility
This website is built so that as many people as possible can read and use it, whatever technology they browse with. This page explains what we have done, what we know has limits, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
Prepared: 18 August 2026
Our commitment
Colleen Moyne wants everyone to be able to read her work and use this website comfortably — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What we have done
Accessibility has been considered throughout the design and build of this site:
- a “skip to content” link lets keyboard users move straight past the navigation;
- the whole site, including the mobile menu, can be operated with a keyboard;
- pages use semantic HTML landmarks and a logical heading structure;
- meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text;
- text colours are chosen for clear contrast against the page background;
- text is set in relative units, so it scales cleanly when you zoom or increase your text size; and
- links, buttons and form fields have generous target sizes for touch use.
Known limitations
Some parts of the site depend on third parties, and we cannot always control how accessible they are:
- the embedded Facebook feed on the home page is provided by Facebook and may not meet the same standard — the same updates are always available directly on Colleen’s Facebook page; and
- external websites we link to, such as publishers and bookshops, have their own accessibility practices.
Tell us if something is not working
If you have trouble using any part of this website, or you would like any content in a different format, please tell us. Send a message through the contact form or email colmoyne@gmail.com, and let us know which page you were on and what got in your way. We take this feedback seriously and will do our best to fix problems promptly.
